Privacy Policy

The Short Version

LidPulse collects no personal data. The App runs entirely on your device. We do not track you, we do not know who you are, and we do not want to. The only data that ever leaves your device is what you voluntarily submit when making a purchase — and that is handled entirely by our payment processor, Paddle.

1. What Data We Collect

None. LidPulse does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information. Specifically:

  • No analytics or usage tracking
  • No crash reports sent to our servers
  • No telemetry of any kind
  • No account registration required
  • No cookies (the App is not a website)

2. What Stays on Your Device

LidPulse stores the following data locally on your Mac only:

  • Your selected sound preference
  • Your volume setting
  • Your license activation status

This data never leaves your Mac and is stored in macOS standard app preferences (UserDefaults). You can delete it at any time by uninstalling the App.

3. Payments (Paddle)

Purchases are processed by Paddle (paddle.com), our payment provider. When you buy LidPulse, you interact directly with Paddle's checkout. Paddle may collect your name, email address, and payment details in order to process the transaction. We receive only confirmation that a valid license was purchased — we do not receive your payment details or full personal information.

Please refer to Paddle's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.

4. Network Access

LidPulse makes network requests only for license verification — confirming that your purchase is valid. This request contains a license key only and no personal identifiers. No other network communication occurs.

5. Children's Privacy

LidPulse is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since we collect no personal data at all, there is nothing to delete if a child uses the App.

6. GDPR (for users in the EU/EEA)

As LidPulse collects no personal data, the extensive requirements of the GDPR do not apply to our App's operation. For the purchase process, Paddle acts as the data controller and complies with GDPR requirements. You can exercise your rights (access, deletion, portability) directly with Paddle at their DPA contact.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle data — for example, by adding crash reporting — we will update this policy and notify users through the App or website before any such change takes effect.
